The Scholar Googler, PubmedCloud and Semantic Scholar Googler apps all query their respective external sites to obtain the titles or abstracts from a specific author. Scholar Googler and Semantic Scholar Googler are more versatile because they work for all scholarly publications, even if they aren't in PubMed. If you don't have a Google Scholar profile then you can try Semantic Scholar Googler. Both these apps only use words from publication titles. In contrast, the PubmedCloud app uses full abstracts, so can provide a more complete cloud.
These apps were designed to help you share your research in a broadly accessible format. Many of the fancy colour options can be interpreted by individuals with common types of colour-blindness. Along with the images, we automatically generate alt text that can be added to your image when you share it. This text can be found in the Alt Text tab above the cloud to allow them to be better interpreted by individuals with visual impairment.
